Energy transition

Downstream/End-user Focus. Interaction between distributed production, storage, and consumption, electrification and sector coupling, end-user flexibility and smart solutions, user behavior, power and flexibility markets, business models, regulatory issues, digitalization including AI and decision support.

Applied Artificial Intelligence

Primary focus in the energy sector. Facilitating collaboration between external and internal experts and companies that will utilize the technology. Making data available for sharing, usage, and visualization. Utilizing AI for value addition and new business models.

Climate action

Research, development, implementation, and scaling of technology to mitigate climate change. Main focus on climate impact and emission reduction through the use of energy and AI, as well as expertise in decommissioning, reuse, and circular economy.

Last week, Smart Innovation Norway had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Romania as part of the Climate Paths: Innovative Methods for Mitigating Climate and Environmental Impact project, a collaborative initiative funded by the EEA and Norway Grants and Innovation Norway.
