Bilateral collaboration between Transylvania Energy Cluster (TREC) and Smart Energy Markets Cluster
This is an EEA and Norway Grants-funded project that aims to enhance research, business, and policy cooperation between Romania and Norway.
Its primary objective is to accelerate the green transition by fostering innovation and knowledge exchange in key areas like renewable energy, environmental protection, and climate resilience.

Key partners include Smart Innovation Norway, National Institute for Research and Development of Isotopic and Molecular Technologies, and Transylvania Energy Cluster. The project will last approximately 6 months, with notable activities such as study visits, webinars, matchmaking events, and workshops held in both Romania and Norway.
The project focuses on several key activities:
- Joint Research Initiatives: Promoting collaboration between research institutions and companies from Romania and Norway, particularly in renewable energy technologies and climate change adaptation.
- Business Matchmaking Events: Organizing forums to foster partnerships and joint ventures between companies and startups working in clean technologies.
- Policy Dialogue and Exchange: Hosting workshops and roundtables with policymakers to exchange knowledge on regulatory frameworks and policy mechanisms that support the green transition.
- Capacity Building Workshops: Conducting training sessions for stakeholders in renewable energy deployment and eco-friendly practices.
The project is financed by Innovation Norway under the EEA and Norway Grants.
